Free Training for Displaced Engineers through state of Indiana Grant
I have had trouble getting in touch with the displaced worker community, so I am exhausting all my social media marketing options. I have made contacts at WorkForce One, but the message does not seem to be getting out.
We sell and support SolidWorks 3D mechanical design software. Displaced engineers and designers in Indiana are eligible to apply for a grant through the state to receive up to $5,000 to help them further their skill set and increase their knowledge in programs that fit their chosen or future career path.
If you know of anyone who could benefit from our software and training, at no cost to them, please let me know. Any assistance or suggestions in getting the word out to the unemployed mechanical design community would also be greatly appreciated.

What is Marketing?
"If the circus is coming to town and you paint a sign saying "Circus Coming to the Fairground Saturday," that's advertising.
If you put the sign on the back of an elephant and walk it into town, that's promotion.
If the elephant walks through the mayor's flower bed, that's publicity.
If you get the mayor to laugh about it, that's public relations.
If the town's citizens go to the circus, you show them the many entertainment booths, explain how much fun they'll have spending money at the booths, answer their questions and ultimately, they spend a lot at the circus, that's sales.
But put it all together - that's marketing!"

Dimension 3D Printer: A Necessary Cost of Business
Rapid prototyping is also a necessary cost of doing business, especially in a difficult economy and regardless of the ability to design in 3D. You have to be able to communicate effectively, quickly and inexpensively. There is simply no time or money available for mistakes.
How can an engineer be expected to be design responsible in a real world when his best tool is a virtual one?
