
Cosmo Corporation has an immediate opening in its Cleveland, Ohio, headquarters for a Manufacturing Engineer.

Main Responsibilities:
Perform duties within the Engineering department where the primary responsibility is to specify, troubleshoot, and design engineering improvements for manufacturing plants and production equipment and systems.

Perform duties within the Engineering department where the primary responsibility is to specify, troubleshoot, and design engineering improvements for manufacturing plants and production equipment and systems.
- Oversee installation and setup of plant equipment, machinery and tooling
- Propose and implement improvements in machine design and manufacturing processes to increase quality and efficiency, and reduce costs
- Design custom machinery, automation, and tooling to meet production requirements
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with plant equipment, machinery and tooling
- Compile usable and accurate documentation
- Accurately prepare and maintain appropriate records
Minimum Requirements:
- Education:
- Undergraduate mechanical or electrical engineering degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Experience:
- At least five years of related work experience
- Experience with plastic injection molding machinery desirable
- Experience with assembly machines (mechanical, pneumatic) desirable
- Skills Required:
- Modeling proficiency
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, and electronics (including PLC controls)
- Knowledge of plastic injection modeling and auxiliary equipment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written)
