Measure Units

Have you ever wondered why your status bar shows the XYZ coordinates in mm when your document units are IPS, or vice versa? Annoying? No, just a setting that's all up to you.

In the measure tool is where the units for the status bar lie. You'll see a button that looks like in/mm, which will open the Measure Units/Precision. In here you'll find the choice to use document settings (match your measure and status bar units to your document units) or use custom settings, to set the units and precision independent from the document units.

The setting is per user, like a System Option. Meaning that the Measure tool's Units/Precision will stay what you set them to for all files and all future sessions until you say otherwise.
